Byelection date set in Alberta, where Poilievre will run

A byelection date has been announced for the riding of Battle River-Crowfoot in Alberta.

That’s where Pierre Poilievre will be running in hopes of winning his Conservative seat.

The leader of the Official Opposition lost his seat in the Carleton riding in Ontario in the April election. He previously held that seat for decades.

Conservative Damien Kurek stepped aside after his win to allow Poilievre to run.

A byelection will be held on August 18.
