Man arrested after gun-related incident at Thunder Centre

An arrest has been made after police raced to the Thunder Centre over a call about a man with a gun.

About 15 to 20 different police vehicles and dozens of officers responded along with a dog team.

The situation unfolded at one of the southernmost buildings in the plaza stretching from Popeyes to Planet Fitness, with the area behind the two buildings closed off with police tape.

The situation began at about 4:30 p.m. on Friday and a man was taken into custody a few hours later.

Police did not say if anyone was hurt or what charges might be laid.
