There is a visible police presence on Thunder Bay’s south side.
Officers were sent to the Syndicate Avenue South and New Vickers Street area around 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
Members of the public are being asked to avoid the area.
There is not believed to be a threat to public safety.
City police plan on providing more information as it becomes available.
