Two teens from Toronto are facing multiple weapons and drug charges.
Officers were sent to Donald Street East on Wednesday afternoon after receiving reports of unwanted individuals refusing to leave a home.
When they got on the scene, they were told that the suspects were in possession of drugs and a gun.
One suspect was seen trying to leave the home, and they were arrested shortly after they attempted to run away.
A second individual was located inside of the home.
A search of the residence led to the discovery of a loaded handgun and suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and cash.
As a result, a 15-year-old and 14-year-old from Toronto are facing the following charges:
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of a firearm obtained by crime
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl)
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
- Unlawfully in a dwelling
The identities of the accused cannot be disclosed in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The accused remains in custody with a future court date.
