Collision leads to impaired operation charges

A collision between a vehicle and a city grader vehicle has led to charges.

Officers were sent to the north end of the city early Saturday morning after receiving reports of a collision.

A vehicle had driven into the back of the grader.

Responding officers spoke to the driver of the vehicle and noticed signs of impairment.

As a result, a 51-year-old has been charged with impaired operation of a vehicle and operation of a motor vehicle while impaired – blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus.

The accused has been released with conditions and a future court date.
