The Thunder Bay Police Service has recovered a pick-up truck after it was stolen early this morning.
Officers were dispatched to Memorial Avenue just before 6:00 after receiving reports of a robbery.
Police say the suspect approached a parked pick-up truck with the occupants inside, and brandished a firearm, before driving away with the vehicle.
Responding officers saw the pick-up speed off, but did not pursue it in the interest of public safety.
The vehicle was then involved in a collision but fled the scene.
The TBPS Break, Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit is involved in the ongoing investigation.
