No changes at the top for Thunder Bay’s police services board.
Chair Karen Machado and Vice Chair Denise Baxter were re-elected for a one-year term at the January 28 board meeting.
The pair were first appointed in 2023.
Machado was appointed to the board by the province, while Baxter was selected as a civilian appointment.
The board determines the objectives and priorities of city police after consulting with the chief of police, helping establish policies for the management of the service.
They also help recruit and appoint the chief of police and any deputy chief of police.
