$25,000 in drugs, $5,000 cash seized in north side drug bust

Two people are facing multiple charges following a drug trafficking investigation in Thunder Bay.

A home on Picton Avenue was searched on Wednesday as part of the investigation.

Two suspects were found inside and they were arrested.

Police also found suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and oxycodone.

The estimated street value of the drugs is over $25,000.

More than $5,000 in cash was also seized.

As a result, a 39-year-old and a 34-year-old are facing the following charges:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl)
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine)
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (oxycodone)
  • Possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000

Both of the accused remain in custody with future court dates.
