The provincial police in Nipigon are investigating an emergency plane landing on Highway 11.
On Friday officers were sent to the highway roughly 20 kilometers north of the Highway 11-17 junction around 5:00 p.m.
When they got on scene they found a small single-engine plane parked in the middle of the highway.
It was determined that the plane suffered a mechanical issue during the flight requiring the landing on the highway.
The pilot was uninjured and the plane sustained minor damage.
The Transportation Safety Board has been notified.
The plane was safely removed from the highway, which re-opened on Friday evening.
