A man is facing charges following a weapons incident on Bay Street.
On Friday officers were sent to the area after receiving reports of a gunshot and an assault.
Nobody was shot and no serious injuries were reported.
City police’s investigation identified a suspect.
On Wednesday officers arrested the suspect in what police called a high-risk arrest on Amelia Street West.
As a result, a 48-year-old is facing the following charges:
- Assault with a weapon
- Careless use of a firearm
- Carrying a concealed weapon
- Pointing a firearm
- Possession of restricted firearm with ammunition
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order (five counts)
The accused appear in court on Thursday and they remain in custody with a future court date.
