A chimney fire resulted in several fire fighters from the Shuniah Fire and Emergency Services responding.
The blaze broke out around 7:45 Sunday morning.
The fire was on the chimney cap, and fortunately the fire did not extend down the chimney or into the home.
There were two occupants of the home and they managed to evacuate without injury.
A total of 10 fire fighters attended the scene, and all the units were back in service by 9:30.
Creosote build-up is being blamed for the fire.
