Thunder Bay-Superior North MP Patty Hadju is wishing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau the best in his next chapter.
“In 2015, when I ran to be the Member of Parliament for Thunder Bay-Superior North, I embarked on a journey that far exceeded my expectations,” said Hadju. “Through four cabinet appointments, I have had the extraordinary opportunity to serve my community and country.”
Trudeau announced his pending resignation on Monday morning outside of his home at Rideau Cottage in Ottawa.
“I am grateful to Prime Minister Trudeau for seeing my passion for equity and putting it to good use for Canadians,” added Hadju. “My most important role is to serve — as MP for Thunder Bay-Superior North and as a Minister. I will continue to work for my riding and Canada with all my heart.”
The minister’s office has confirmed her plans to run in the next election.
