Accident sends 5 to hospital

Several people were injured following a three-vehicle collision east of Fort Frances.

It occurred near the Noden Causeway Tuesday night.

Provincial police say a vehicle was attempting to pass a snowplow but lost control and came into collision with two other vehicles.

Five people were transported to hospital for treatment.

Rainy River District Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Fort Frances Fire Rescue and Couchiching Fire Rescue all responded to the scene with OPP.

A 25-year-old Thunder Bay man was charged with careless driving.
