Man facing charges after assaulting city police officer

A 30-year-old man is facing multiple charges after assaulting a city police officer.

Officers were sent to Andras Court early Tuesday morning after receiving reports of people refusing to leave the property.

When officers arrived they found a man with an outstanding warrant.

The man resisted arrest and assaulted an officer before being taken into custody.

While in custody officers discovered he was carrying concealed weapons.

As a result, a 30-year-old is facing the following charges:

  • Assault Peace Officer
  • Resist Arrest
  • Breach Probation
  • Carry Concealed Weapon x 3

The accused appeared in bail court on Tuesday and was held in custody with a future court date.
