Federal offender arrested following calls for public assistance

A wanted man has been located and arrested in Thunder Bay.

On Tuesday, the OPP requested the public’s assistance in locating a federal offender on behalf of the provincial Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E).

Denis Bernard went unlawfully at large on October 23.

He is serving a two-year, eight-month and 15-day sentence for manslaughter.

In a release from the OPP, the R.O.P.E squad thanked the public for their assistance.
