Flight delays are never fun. Canceled flights are never fun; rerouted flights are never fun.
Then comes this: a United Airlines pilot went above and beyond for passengers after an unexpected emergency mid-flight led to a 7 hour delay! The flight was traveling from San Francisco to Houston last week. there was a medical emergency on board. 150 passengers were grounded for hours. The pilot turned the situation around and ordered 30 pizzas from a local pizza shop. Sometimes – it’s those little things that really mean a lot. That was a huge gesture….30 pizza’s paid out of his own pocket! One passenger said: “our pilot is amazing…he felt so bad for the situation, had the pizza ordered right to our gate”.
