Vendors still being accepted for Anishinaabe Keeshigun

Vendor spots are still available for this weekend’s Anishinaabe Keeshigun.

Dancers and drummers as well as those who run community booths or sell crafts can register.

Registration forms can be found on the Fort William Historical Park Website.

Applications are due by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Pow Wow Dancer registration is remaining open, and you can register at the event.

“This celebration of Anishinaabe culture and tradition is a wonderful opportunity for the people of Northern Ontario to experience this vibrant First Nation’s culture first-hand,” said the MPP for Thunder Bay-Atikokan, Kevin Holland. “The Anishinaabe First Nations people are instrumental in shaping Fort William’s community.”

“It’s wonderful to see the community take part in this celebration and learn more about their traditions. I hope everyone has a safe and fun time this weekend at this historic park.”

The event kicks off Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and is running through Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
