Canada qualifies for the bronze medal game

At the Women’s Baseball World Cup, Canada blanked Venezuela 10-0 in 5 innings last night and will play in Saturday’s bronze medal game.

Team Canada has a record of 2-2 and sits in third place in the round robin.

They’ll play either Mexico or Venezuela in the third-place game.

Both teams have 1-3 records.

Canada completes the round robin tonight at Port Arthur Stadium against Chinese Taipei, which is still looking for its first win in the tournament.

Chinese Taipei was the second ranked team heading into the World Cup.

Meanwhile, Japan and the US will play for gold as Japan blanked Mexico 10-0 and the US shut out Chinese Taipei 9-0.

Both teams are undefeated at 4-0.
