A section of John Street Road is closed this morning.
The road will be shut down between Valley Street and Mercier Drive beginning at 6 a.m. to permit sewer and water installations.
It is open to local traffic only.
All others are advised to use Hutton Park Drive as a detour.
City officials say the work should take about 12 hours to complete, with the road reopening at around 6 p.m.
