Multivehicle collision leads to charges

A 37-year-old is facing multiple charges after colliding with multiple parked vehicles.

Emergency services were sent to the area of Water and John Street just after 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

A pickup truck had avoided a collision with oncoming traffic before exiting the roadway and hitting three vehicles in a nearby parking lot.

A Thunder Bay Police Service officer spoke to the driver and observed signs of impairment leading to an arrest.

The accused has been charged with impaired operation of a vehicle, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and breach of probation.

They have been released with a future court date.
