Mississauga resident facing charge following traffic stop in Shuniah

A drug trafficking investigation in Thunder Bay has led to a charge in Shuniah.

On Tuesday, Ontario Provincial Police officers performed a traffic stop on Highway 11/17 in Shuniah.

During the stop officers seized roughly 2.4 kilograms of suspected cocaine as well as two phones.

As a result, a 23-year-old Mississauga resident has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.

The accused remains in custody with a future court date.
