A suspected overdose was quickly reversed by Thunder Bay police

A man has recovered from a potential overdose after the help of the police in Thunder Bay.

Officers were flagged down for help on Saturday near May Street and Victoria Avenue to find an unconscious man in medical distress.

They gave the man multiple does of naloxone before he regained consciousnesses and started to breath normally.

He was transported to the hospital and has since made a full recovery.

The police continue to stress the danger of narcotics purchased on the street and advise that anyone treated for an overdose should still seek medical attention.
