Thunder Bay resident facing second-degree murder charge

A 23-year-old Thunder Bay resident has turned themselves in to city police and has been charged with second-degree murder.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers were sent to Camelot Street and St. Paul Street around 2:30 Sunday morning.

Officers found an injured man who was sent to a local hospital, but he has since passed due to his injuries.

The victim was a 20-year-old Thunder Bay man.

The Major Crimes and Forensic Identification units became involved in the investigation which led to the identification of a suspect, who ultimately turned themselves in.

The accused remains in custody with a court date on Monday.
