The OILERS refuse to lose!

The Edmonton Oilers are five-time Stanley Cup champs. Their last win was back in the ’89-’90 season. They’ve won 7 Conference Championships; Division Champs 7 times.

Fast forward to the start of this NHL season. It was a struggle for the Oilers. At one point – they had the worst record in the league.

Fast forward to NOW. The OILERS are on a 14 game win streak. They beat Columbus last night (Jan 23), 4-1………….to make it 14 straight wins. Let that sink in: 14 consecutive wins. It’s amazing. Whether you’re a fan of the team or not, you can’t argue with the success this team is seeing right now.

They’re now the 7th team in NHL history to win 14 in a row. The league record for consecutive wins is 17, by the PENGUINS…going back to the ‘92-’93 season.

The question now is – can they make it win #15? They play Chicago on Thursday night.

Hmmmm…I wonder what Gretzky / and Messier are thinking right now!
