When do you take down your Christmas decorations? The TREE?

In a perfect world, my wife would leave the Christmas tree up until at least March. Yes, MARCH!

On January 1st, I woke up around 8:30 and while I was sitting on the couch enjoying my first cup of coffee of 2024 – I started staring at the Christmas tree. I had a plan / a vision. Let’s take down the decorations TODAY. Now…the only thing I had to do was convince my wife.

She got up around 10:30, and I said “good morning”, and then followed it up with this: “hey sweetie, wanna take down the Christmas tree / and decorations”. She looked at me and said, “I’m actually not in the mood to do that today, so please don’t ask me for any help. If you want to wait until next weekend I’ll help, but if you want to do it today – you can do it yourself”.

BOOM. In a span of 2 hours I had the tree down / the decorations. I swept / vacuumed………..and we are done with Christmas!

When do you take down your decorations?

**Oh wait, I forgot about the wreath outside. I’ll do that today. LOL. Cheers until next year!

REMINDER – if you have a real tree, the City Of Thunder Bay’s ‘tree chipping program’ is underway until January 12. Click link below for full details:
