I was always a fan of the 1984 Stephen King horror classic “Children Of The Corn”. Remember “Isaac” and “Malachai”? The film was considered a box office hit at the time. It cost just $800,000 to produce, and went on to earn $15 million in theatres.
Did you know there have been 10 films in the franchise. Some – direct to video releases. There was even a 2009 made for TV movie – a remake of the original.
And now, fast forward to 2023: a reimagining of the original “Children Of The Corn” will be released in theatres in March. This time around, it focuses on a 12 year old girl who’s leading the children. Her name is “Eden Edwards”….and she looks scary!
**Fact: this film was made in 2020, and has just been sitting on the shelf. It’ll hit theatres in early March. Check out the trailer below. P.S – nothing will beat the original.
