Thunder Bay Police have now charged a suspect in connection to a hate crime investigation at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
In July, an investigation started after an individual broke into the church and vandalized the altar in a manner that would deliberately disturb churchgoers.
Police have now identified and charged a 43-year-old city man with Break and Enter.
The investigation remains ongoing.
