Federal money will be coming into Thunder Bay to make upgrades to the Fort William Stadium and Legion Track.
Member of Parliament (MP) Marcus Powlowski was on hand to make the announcement Thursday that $500,000 will be made available to revamp the turf/track surface, install a new modern score board with audio and visual capabilities and existing asphalt will be replaced with two layers of impermeable levelled rubber asphalt track surface.
There’s some behind the scenes work happening on the stadium this year, but the big renovations and upgrades will be happening in 2023.
