What a wild and crazy week….right?

The week started with Boulevard Lake drained. We got word from the CITY that it was drained without authority. 11 of the dam’s 12 gates were “lowered without authority”. How does that happen?

We found out from the Nature Conservancy of Canada that we have to “watch out for turtles” crossing the road. Too many are being killed in motor collisions and it’s affecting the turtle population.

We found out the Ford gov’t approved the highest rent increases in almost 10 years. Rents starting on January 1, 2023 will be capped at a maximum 2.5%, more than double the increase from this year

Plus, if you haven’t heard….Doug Ford is cutting the province’s gas tax. It’ll come into effect on Friday (July 1). He’ll lower the ‘gas tax’ by almost 6 cents a litre, along with fuel tax covering diesel by just over 5 cents a litre. This will run until the end of the year. Maybe some relief for us??

Cheers to the weekend. ~ Danny.
