One person is being treated for injuries at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC) after a collision on Oliver Road and Balmoral Street.
Eastbound travel was off limits Monday after emergency crews were dispatched to the scene just before 2:00 p.m.
Police learned that the walker was crossing the roadway in the area when they were struck by a pickup truck.
The truck came in to contact with another vehicle after the initial collision with the pedestrian.
The motorist of the vehicle struck by the pickup truck sustained minor injuries.
The extent of injuries of the individual being treated in hospital is unknown.
The investigation continues.
