Body Recovered From Lake Superior

Tragedy at Lake Superior along the Sleeping Giant Peninsula shoreline.

Thunder Bay OPP said they located a kayak and the body of 57-year-old Alexander Hay Wednesday afternoon after he was reported missing by Sleeping Giant Provincial Park staff earlier in the day.

Hay was last seen by campers on Monday and had been camping in a remote area near Tea Harbour.

Police do not suspect foul play, but the Coroner’s office will determine Hay’s exact cause of death.
