Council Pay Bump, New PSB Member

The Northwood councillor will join the Thunder Bay Police Services Board (TBPSB).

Council voted unanimously Monday to nominate the new member of the board, which is currently under the control of an appointed administrator.

Since the appointment, the chair and two board members have resigned, leaving Bill Mauro as the only active board member.

Georjann Morriseau is on a leave of absence that began at the end of March.

Finances

Also Council rubber stamped a hike in pay retroactive to January 1st.

The total financial impact is $12,730, which was budgeted in the 2022 finances.

Additionally the contracts were approved for the following:

Balmoral Street Reconstruction Phase III – Bruno’s Contracting $8,294,626.01 (Hatch Engineering $314,404.42)

Asphalt Resurfacing – Bruno’s Contracting $4,104,607.48

Sewer and Watermain – Makkinga Contracting and Equipment Rentals $6,320,669.13

Asphalt Rehabilitation & Storm Sewer – Bay City Contractors $3,713,071.52

Woodcrest Road Bridge Replacement – LH North Limited $1,921,188.92
