Trudeau Heading To NATO Meetings Next Week

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Canada will be doing more to help Ukraine.

Trudeau says he’ll be traveling to Brussels next week for NATO meetings.

“To prevent this war from expanding and escalating elsewhere,” Trudeau told reporters at an electric vehicle announcement at the Honda plant in Alliston, Ontario.

“These are heartbreaking decisions and choices that we have to make and I assure you that NATO is constantly talking about what more we can do…what solutions we can bring.”

Trudeau adds NATO will be looking at several options.

“To further talk about the decisions we take as an alliance, as to how to best support Ukraine and protect the lives of people in Ukraine and around the world.”

Trudeau adds that even without the no-fly zone, Ukrainian troops have had good success in shooting down Russian aircraft.
