A promise of more air purifiers in schools and child-care settings across Ontario.
The provincial government announced Monday that up to 40,000 stand-alone HEPA filter units will be made available to school boards while 9,000 more will go to child-care settings.
The Ministry of Education previously announced that it would provide 73,000 of the filters and other ventilation devices.
Officials will reach out to school boards and child-care centres about delivery and use of the filters.
