Winter 2021-2022 Prediction (from TODAY IN THE BAY)

I don’t know how much you believe in ‘extended forecasts’, but I always find it fascinating when Environment Canada, The Weather Network or even The Farmer’s Almanac attempts to predict the upcoming winter season. AccuWeather claims they can predict actual daytime and overnight temps for up to 3 months. WHAT?

So, on Monday, The Weather Network announced details about our upcoming WINTER. Here are some highlights, and you decide how accurate or ‘safe’ they are in their prediction.

(for Thunder Bay and region)

Below seasonal temps expected for December.

Above seasonal temps for January and February.

Snow? An active storm track should give us, “an abundance of snow at times”, but also extending periods of mild weather. I hope this all makes sense to you. With WINTER just three weeks away…..let’s see what happens.
