Drugs, Loaded Handgun Collected From North Side Home

Six individuals, including three from Thunder Bay, apprehended after police raid a home on the north side.

Officers responded to the Windsor Street property just after 6:55 p.m. Sunday and were able to stop a suspected home takeover in progress.

A loaded handgun, suspected crack cocaine, cash, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking was picked up.

A 27-year-old woman from the city was released with a future court date while the other two individuals remain in custody and will appear before a judge.

The charges include:

  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling
  • Failure to Comply with Release Order
  • Two counts of Breach of Probation
  • Obstruct Peace Officer
  • Identity Fraud to Avoid Arrest
  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
