17 New Cases In The District

An explosion of new COVID-19 cases within the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

Seventeen infections reported Monday with thirteen being obtained from someone else who had the virus.

There are six more resolved cases, bringing the active total to 30.

The outbreak at St. Martin School has 10 active cases of COVID-19, which has closed three classrooms to in person learning. Over the weekend the school hosted a drive-thru testing clinic where approximately 150-200 tests were administered.

The Northwestern Health Unit is dealing with fourteen active cases after confirming nine new ones.

Ontario reported 627 new cases with 341 coming from those who either have an unknown vaccination status or who are not fully vaccinated.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
