Booking Your Child For The COVID-19 Vaccine

The opportunity for your child to receive the pediatric COVID-19 vaccine is fast approaching.

On the heels of Health Canada giving the thumbs up Friday, Parents and guardians in Ontario will be able to book the appointment starting on Tuesday, November 23 at 8:00 a.m.

“The approval of the Pfizer vaccine for children aged five to 11 is exciting news for families and represents a bright light at the end of the tunnel,” said Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health. “Offering the protection of the vaccine to children aged five to 11 is a significant milestone in Ontario’s fight against COVID-19 in advance of the holiday season. We continue to encourage all Ontarians to roll up their sleeves and get vaccinated to protect themselves, their families and their communities.”

To book an appointment online, your child must be turning five years old by the end of 2021 (born in 2016).

Appointments are expected to begin as early as November 25, which you can book using the provincial portal, directly through the Northwestern Health Unit and Thunder Bay District Health Unit, participating pharmacies and select primary care providers.
