Charges After Stolen Every Child Matters Flag

Police have identified and charged a suspect after a nearly month long investigation.

The public was initially notified of someone stealing an Every Child Matters flag in late October, the incident happening the 25th on Gore Street West. The male suspect was wearing all black, when they removed the orange flag from the property and walked away with it.

A confirmed motive has not been released for the theft yet.

The Thunder Bay Police Service would like to remind the public that if you believe you were the target of a crime because of a social or racial demographic you belong to, or are perceived to belong to, please indicate that when making a report to police.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
