The danger is mitigated following a gas leak in the north end of Thunder Bay.
Fire and Enbridge officials were called out to the corner of 11th Avenue and Memorial Avenue around 9:00 a.m. Wednesday.
In an email to Acadia News, Debbie Guitard says she and others at the Home Hardware on Memorial Avenue were evacuated.
A section of the road between Memorial and Eira Street was blocked off to traffic for a short time.
No cause of the leak has been identified.

Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
