False Identity Charges After Traffic Stop

False identity charges for a Toronto man after a traffic stop in the Intercity area.

It occurred Wednesday afternoon, when officers searched a vehicle under the Cannabis Control Act.

The passenger of the vehicle initially gave identification which police believed to be false.

The individual then tried to flee the scene but was taken into custody after a brief struggle.

The 22-year-old has been charged with:

  • Resisting a Peace Officer
  • Using a Forged Document
  • Breach of Probation
  • Fail to Comply with a Release Order

Ricchio remains in custody with a bail hearing scheduled for Thursday.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
