A positive test for COVID-19 inside a Thunder Bay school.
The Lakehead Public School Board received the notification Monday from the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and continues to work in investigating and managing any potential exposures in the school and any related settings.
Impacted individuals and families will be directly contacted by public health to receive instructions and next steps.
In the health unit, three active cases of COVID-19, with one more case that could be one of the variants.
At least one of the new cases was obtained through travel outside of Northwestern Ontario.
Across the province, there are 613 confirmed cases, including 454 in people who are either not fully vaccinated or whose vaccine status is unknown.
