Fentanyl, Cocaine Seizure In Thunder Bay

A local woman picked up by police for drug-trafficking offences.

Officers responded to reports of a disturbance Monday evening, upon arrival they found several children inside who had been left in the care of five unknown men who fled once they saw the police.

A further investigation revealed that the residence was also a site police suspected of drug-trafficking.

Officers found fentanyl, crack and powder cocaine, and cash.

A 29-year-old Thunder Bay woman was later arrested and charged with:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

The Thunder Bay Police Service is not releasing the name of the accused in an effort to protect the identity of the children.
