A jump to five active cases in the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.
Officials confirm Wednesday three new diagnosed cases with two being obtained from someone else who had the virus.
The other case was picked up through travel outside of Northwestern Ontario.
In Ontario there were 485 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, 309 that were among the unvaccinated population, to go along with three deaths.
