Six pumpers and a pair of aerial ladders needed to tackle a fire on Syndicate Avenue South near Caesars Place.
The initial call came in around 1:30 a.m. Thursday involving a three storey building, though the owner confirmed that there was nobody living in the units as it was under renovation.
Heavy damage was sustained on the residential side with less damage on the commercial restaurant side.
The blaze is suspicious in nature and the cause is under investigation.
