Kings Getting Close To GTHL Debut

Parents and players of the Thunder Bay Kings will get a better idea of the season ahead in the Greater Toronto Hockey League.

U-16 Head Coach Lonny Bohonos will lead the virtual conversation Monday at 6:30 p.m.

“We’ll be able to give them insight as to what exactly our schedule is going to look like for the upcoming year,” said Bohonos. “We’re very excited about the opportunity to join the GTHL.”

The Kings U-15, U-16 and U-18 squads were approved to skate in the league this year but those plans were scrapped last October in favour of combination of a bubble format and an invite as a guest team for the 2020-2021 Superior International Junior Hockey League campaign.

Kings President Michael Power said the plans are subject to the return to play guidelines as set out by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and Toronto Public Health.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
