A fundraiser for Shelter House and the Thunder Bay Food Bank is committing to its second drive-through event.
Robin Cooper, co-chair of Empty Bowls Caring Hearts, said they will hold the 2021 event at the Moose Hall on October 16th.
“Everyone wanted to do it,” Cooper said. “We were so pleased with the results of last year that it almost seemed like a no-brainer, like of course we’re going to do it again. We just were wondering about how we would do it.”
Similar to previous years, you can buy bowls made by local potters, and they hope to offer soup for takeout.
The fundraiser usually serves soup at a sit-down event, but that wasn’t able to happen last year due to COVID-19 restrictions.
