54 is the active case count within the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

Officials report 17 new cases between Sunday and Monday, all obtained through someone else who had coronavirus.

Another five cases have been resolved.

Four of the nine patients that are being treated for coronavirus at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre are in the Intensive Care Unit.

In Ontario just 916 new cases of COVID-19 along with 13 deaths.
