Case Count Climbs To 42

One more person is in the hospital with COVID-19 as local communities add another nine new cases.

The District Health Unit is now at 42 active cases with this latest update.

It also identified one more active case with a variant of concern.

Out of the latest cases:

  • Eight caught the virus from another infected person;
  • Health officials are still confirming one cause of transmission.

Three of the cases are in smaller communities in the district, and six are in First Nations.
