Flower Blood Moon

This week there will be a once in a lifetime chance to see something really cool in the sky! Tonight, well tomorrow morning, will be the second ‘super moon’ of the season and this time it’s also going to be part of a lunar eclipse! It won’t really be possible for those of us in Northwestern Ontario to see it, however if you happen to be reading this from Australia, East Asia, islands in the Pacific or the west coast of the United States…you’ll be in luck! Those of us who are living here in the Thunder Bay area CAN check out a live feed from the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, which will start at about 4:47am our time. If you’re up that early (I’m considering setting my alarm myself) you can check out the live feed here!

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
